Behaviour

  • Behaviour not in the nature of Scouting or Guiding will not be tolerated.
  • Songs of suitable nature for youth members will be sung before the hour of midnight. After this time, please remove yourself if you are not comfortable in an environment where songs that are deemed offensive are sung.
  • Drink responsibly and remain within your limits, alcohol is no excuse for poor behaviour!
  • Please be respectful of noise. Please be mindful that some members may also have gone to bed earlier than you and remember that we have neighbours.
  • The use of illegal substances of any kind will not be tolerated by SUGS, SSAGO or any other SSAGO Group.
  • Contact the SUGS committee if you do not wish any photos of yourself to be published online.
  • While attending the event, members are expected to follow the rules of both The Scouts and Girlguiding, including following The Yellow Card, The Green Card and A Safe Space.

SUGS quite like this site, so we need to make sure they will actually let us back! They are unlikely to do this if there is poor behaviour, complaints from local residents, or damage.

Be aware that members of the public may be on the site on Saturday morning, as the local Scout Shop is here as well. As well as this, a public footpath goes along the edge of the site. As the site is clearly signposted as a Scout Campsite, any poor behaviour will reflect badly on not only you, but the Scout organisation as a whole.

Please remember, if you are asked to stop doing something or change your behaviour, we are not trying to stop you having fun. We do want everyone to have fun, but our top priority is ensuring that everyone is safe and comfortable on the camp.

If you experience any issues in the booking process, please contact webmaster@ssago.org.
